During your time at OEHS, Naviance is a terrific tool to get familiar with. You will utilize it for many different purposes over your four years- including career surveys, career cluster introductions,  Strengths Explorer, college searches, applying to college, sending transcripts, and scholarship information. You can also build your own resume on Naviance and keep track of your accomplishments.  Presentations to certain grade levels will occur and detailed information will be sent out periodically to students throughout their years at Oswego East. Some information will come via email to students and parents. Presentations will be delivered via classroom visits by the counselors. During remote learning, counselors have sent out information on how to sign in to Naviance as well as assigned small tasks to different grade levels. Many of these tasks are listed below.  If you have questions about Naviance, please contact your student's counselor.

• Go to Naviance Portal
• MAKE SURE TO CLICK on the CLEVER button for sign on. Then look up your school. 
• Tasks/Assessments listed below can be found under the "About Me" section.

• Explore the different features of Naviance
  • The top right navigation tabs 
  • The ask me how feature on the right hand side
• Complete the Career Cluster Finder
  • Under the Career Home Tab located under Career Assessments

• Career Cluster Finder
• Career Interest Profiler
• College Scavenger Hunt- through Super Match
• Complete Strengths Explorer (you can only take this once during high school!)

• Start a resume on Naviance
• Career Interest Profiler
• Complete Strengths Explorer, if you haven't completed it (you can only take this once)
• Set Goals in goal setting
• Add careers to my list
• College SuperMatch Exploration 

• Keep track of your community service hours
• College SuperMatch Exploration- add colleges to "Thinking About"
• Schedule to meet with college admissions reps in Naviance
• Organize your testing plan- ACT/SAT
• Make sure you have completed the following assessments on Naviance
  
  • Strengths Explorer (you can only take this once!)
  • Career Cluster Explorer

• Add at least 2-3 colleges to the "Colleges I'm Applying to" tab
• If using Common App, Match your account in Naviance
• Use Naviance to Request Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation
• Complete the OE Senior Survey under Surveys assigned to me
• Schedule to meet with college admissions reps in Naviance
• Search Scholarship listing under "Colleges" ---> "Scholarships and Money"
